The Lake County Family YMCA is a cause-driven nonprofit that strengthens the community through programs and services that foster youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. It was founded in 1892 and is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization.
For nearly 120 years, we have been giving back and providing support to our community. We actively welcome, celebrate, educate and connect diverse demographic populations across our communities, and we encourage social responsibility by promoting and providing opportunities for volunteerism and giving. All of our programs are guided by our four core values of honesy, respect and responsibility.
At the Y, no child, adult or family is turned away because of inability to pay. We offer reduction of fees for those with demonstrated need.
The association consists of Central Lake YMCA in Vernon Hills, Northern Lake YMCA in Waukegan and Early Head Start in Waukegan.
