About Us

The Lake County Workforce Development and Board is a workforce development leader in the county, region, and state. The Workforce Development Department and Board has notably collaborated with key partners and stakeholders to lead performance driven and innovative strategies that develop, align, and integrate the region and local area’s job-driven workforce development system.

Lake County Workforce Development and Board has expanded upon the priority of services to best prepare a more inclusive workforce to meet the employer demands of today and industry talent needs of the future.

Purpose
The Lake County Workforce Development Board is a business-led policy and oversight board for workforce development programs and services in Lake County. Among other activities, the Board:

Convenes stakeholders to discuss and develop strategic solutions to local workforce challenges:
-Aligns workforce resources with the needs of the local economy through the development of career pathways and sector strategies
-Collects, analyzes, and explains labor market information for job-seekers and employers
-Ensures that workforce programs and services and meeting strategic and compliance related performance outcomes and financial targets
