Mental healthcare in Lake County shouldn't depend on knowing the right person or the right phone number. Too many people never get help because they can't find the path to it, or can't afford it once they do.
Youth & Family Counseling is launching the Circle of Influence, a new ambassador program for neighbors who want to change that. We meet for 90 minutes on the second Tuesday of each quarter. Our first gathering, next week on Tuesday, October 13, opens with a short presentation, then turns to conversation about the barriers that keep people from care and how to pay for, access, and help others navigate the mental health system.
