GLMV/MVC 2026 Coat Drive For Vets

Description

7th ANNUAL GLMV/K COAT DRIVE FOR VETS
With winter around the corner, it’s time once again for the 7th Annual Green Oaks, Libertyville, Mundelein, Vernon Hills & Kildeer (GLMV/K) Coat Drive for Vets.

Join us in collecting old, slightly worn, or new winter coats and other seasonal outerwear, which will be provided to our local veterans in need and their families.

The drive is being conducted through the GLMV Chamber of Commerce, Shurway Movers (Boxes), Visiting Angels (Bronze Coat Drive Sponsor); President Level Sponsors: Advia Credit Union, American Place Casino; Wintrust Banks; GLMV/K Villages, business, municipalities, and other businesses on behalf of Midwest Veterans Closet, a not-for-profit charity that provides free clothing and other items to our former soldiers.

"Our coat collection for veterans is an ideal way to show our community support and thank our vets for their amazing service," said GLMV President Scott Adams.

Collection boxes are located at some 30+ GLMV locations, including village halls, police departments, and various business throughout the towns.

Donations can be dropped off at the following locations to be announced, through November 20, 2026.
Please check with specific location for exact drop off times.
Thanks to all for support of this important effort to keep our veterans warm this winter.

"Your leadership and generosity of our communities provides thousands of beautiful weather-appropriate coats to service members, veterans, and their families," notes Midwest Veteran's Closet. "We are incredibly grateful."
